The impossibility of showing the magnitude of the amount of wear and transformation that certain terrain undergoes through, is the central focus of this proposal. The constant movement generates reorganizations and new orders that polish, form and distort the topography of this monumental hill on Lima’s coast, known as La Herradura.
A photo of La Herradura was divided into 25 A4 size pieces. Each of them was printed on a regular home printer until the last copy coincided with the last drop of ink to emphasize the idea of exhaustion and weariness.
The 25 sheets that made up the image were then printed repeatedly generating different volumes of the complete image of La Herradura. Viewers were invited to take some of the printed sheets with them, and thus witness and be part of the transformation of the landscape.
